Le Credo de l’Apôtre (Apostle’s Creed)

Resource Details

Description

The word “creed” comes from the Latin word credo, which literally means “I believe.” Creeds and confessions are an important part of the Church’s structure and order because they hold us firm and together in sound doctrine.

The Apostle’s Creed was developed in the 100s, after the apostles’ deaths, as Christians asked questions about their faith; “what do we believe about …?” To answer these questions, they went back to the teaching of the apostles (Acts 2:42).

Also in Swahili here.

These Creeds and Confessions have been sourced from various online ministries, and are used here with permission.
