COMING SOON!
Though largely forgotten today, Edward Dorr Griffin (1770–1837) was a prominent American evangelical preacher in the early 1800s, influential in shaping the revival culture of New England. He had a brilliant intellect and was known as a powerful preacher and college president, but his story is not one of easy success but of a man who endured weakness, disappointment, controversy, and exhaustion in his devotion to God’s kingdom.
This biography is drawn entirely from William B. Sprague’s memoir of Griffin’s life, first published in 1839, republished by Banner of Truth in 1987. It is available as a PDF on Monergism.
