In this article, and the next, Dr. Beeke takes us through the teaching of Calvin on the use of the Sacraments, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, for our holiness; “For Calvin, as for Augustine before him, the sacraments are the visible Word. The preached Word comes through our ears, the visible Word, through our eyes.”
