Description
J.C. Ryle was a prolific writer and especially gifted in writing short tracts of gospel subjects. Many of Ryle’s tracts are rare today, especially his “Helmingham Series.” J.C. Ryle’s “Helmingham Series” is a collection of tracts and sermons that he wrote during his time as Rector of Helmingham, in Suffolk, England from 1844 to 1861. These tracts are characterized by their practical gospel focus and it was by these that he established his reputation as a popular and influential writer and preacher, before he became the Bishop of Liverpool.
This tract was published by Drummond’s Tract Depot in Stirling, Scotland, under the Helmingham Series, No. 7.
These tracts are “lightly” edited for The Krapf Project, with the prayer that the Lord would use them for the encouragement and blessing of a new generation.
